Our Director of Underwriting and Head of Property, Brian McGregor, caught up with Bill Zuill from Intelligent Insurer in Monte Carlo for the 66th annual Rendez-Vous.
In his interview, Brian discussed how 2024 has been a banner year for ASR:
- The successful launch of ASR Syndicate 2454 at Lloyd’s
- The expansion of our suite of binders and cover providers
- How we are looking to write more in Kenya and Egypt, as well as planning to write more political risk and trade credit insurance in East Africa
“Because we now have a Lloyd’s syndicate, we are seen in a completely different light, and a lot more of the other capacity providers are participating on the deals we are writing. That is our model: to feed all our capacity providers, because our mission is to bring capacity to Africa.”
Brian’s insights underscore our commitment to continuing to expand our reinsurance presence in Africa and the Middle East, as we try to be at the forefront in addressing the unique challenges these regions face.
